A charity ball taking place at Reed Hall on the Exeter University Campus is giving married couples a chance to relive their wedding day and brides the opportunity to wear the dress that only got shown-off once.
Emm Mortimore and her friends were discussing how much their dresses cost when the idea came up, and the event on August 27th will be raising money for a Devon-based charity called Christian Response.
The evening will take the format of an after-wedding reception, with drinks, a three-course meal and a disco afterwards. The organisers were hoping to recreate the special feeling of the day, "When you have a wedding you all dress up and everyone looks fabulous and feels on top of the world so we wanted to recreate that feeling again. We want men to join in too and wear top hats, tails, tuxedos or anything formal."
There will be a raffle and tickets for entry to the event will cost £30 (including the meal) - they aim to raise over £1000 for the charity. To book or get more information call: 01626 891945.
